Gallinari In Starting Lineup, Harrington Out

Mike D’Antoni has made a lineup change. Danilo Gallinari will be making his first start of the season and third of his career tonight, while Al Harrington moves to the bench.

“I’m just looking at the combinations in a sense that Gallo will be better off with athletic guys aside of him,” D’Antoni said. “Probably with Will (Chandler) and Jared (Jeffries) we get that. And then when Al comes in, he’ll have probably Will also in there the same time and maybe Darko (Milicic) to help out.”

Harrington is not upset about the change.

“It doesn’t matter to me,” Harrington said. “I’m still going to play 35 minutes and I’m going to take advantage of that.”

“I think I’m a starter, but on this team if coach needs me to come off the bench then I’m going to come off the bench. And I’m going to be the best bench player too. That’s what I’m looking forward to.”

Knicks Home Openers

The Knicks are 33-30 all-time in home openers and 7-10 on Halloween.
