Knicks Waive Crawford and Hunter

NEW YORK, October 22, 2009 – New York Knickerbockers President of Basketball Operations Donnie Walsh announced today that guard Joe Crawford and forward/center Chris Hunter have been waived.
Crawford, 6-5, 210-pounds, signed with New York as a free agent on Mar. 27, 2009 and averaged 4.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in two games with the Knicks last season. Originally selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the 2008 NBA Draft, Crawford averaged 3.3 points, 1.0 rebound and 5.3 minutes in three 2009 preseason games with New York.
Hunter, 6-11, 240-pounds, signed with New York as a free agent on Apr. 14, 2009 and never appeared in a regular season game with the Knicks. In two preseason games, he averaged 4.0 points, 1.0 rebounds and 7.0 minutes.
The Knicks roster now stands at 14 players.
